ANCORA is a test centre specialised in light UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) available to companies and institutions that need to carry out integration and validation tests for coordinated air-sea operations, Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS), night flights and direct access to the sea.
ANCORA Drone Test Centre is a test facility powered and managed by the Galicia Institute of Technology (ITG). It is based in the town of San Cibrao in the province of Lugo, on a plot of land along the coastline provided by the Council of Cervo, less than 7Km from Burela Maritime Rescue base and 14Km from the Northern Coast Heliport.
A trial field for unmanned vehicles with unbeatable conditions for integrating and validating coordinated land-air-sea operations, flights beyond the pilot’s line of sight (BVLOS) or night flights.
These facilities have been used for the first U-space demonstration with drones in Spain, led by ENAIRE, and for use case tests such as transporting light goods to ships, surveillance and control of spillages or poaching, surveillance of infrastructure perimeter or forest mass measurements with drones.
